I
graduated from college with a degree in graphic arts but did
not actually pursue my love of illustration till my children
were born. On an afternoon while my son was napping, I picked
up a fine tip, felt nib pen and began sketching an appealing
subject out of a magazine, and it was all over for me! My love
affair of pen and ink began and has never stopped.
I am
amazed how a few delicate, fragile strokes - the definite
black ink against the crisp white of the paper - can be applied
layer upon layer to create an image that fairly leaps off
the page!
The same
holds true for watercolor and colored pencil; each transparent
layer of color molding the subject into shape, form and character,
under layers of color shining through.
I invite
you to view my work, hoping that you will enjoy looking at
it as much as I enjoy doing it! |
